lazy day makeup

left to right - covergirl & olay simply ageless eye concealer, rimmel stay matte powder, clinique blush in smoldering plum, l'oreal telescopic shocking extensions mascara, maybelline baby lips in fruit punch, maybelline color tattoo in barely branded, benefit girl meets pearl highlighter

These makeup items are my go-to products when I am not up to doing a full face of makeup. I choose products that are quick and easy to apply hence this is basically a five minute makeup look. Combining these products make a flawless, natural look and I hope you guys like it.

- The products I use on my face are the concealer, powder, blush, and highlighter. This concealer from covergirl & olay is my all time favorite because of how smooth it goes on. The powder helps the concealer stay in place and the blush is a beautiful plum color that adds the perfect shimmer and color. To add a glow to my tired face, I apply the highlighter to the top of my cheekbones.
- For my eyes I used a cream eyeshadow and mascara. The cream shadow is great because it doesn't need a primer and it adds a delightful little shimmer to your eyes. The mascara is one of my all-time favorites and I can't say enough good things about it.
- My lips I kept very simple with just a tinted lip balm in a nice rosy shade.

If you want to see me apply all of these products along with my hair and outfit for a lazy day, then click on the video below!

17 and counting baby

me back in the old days (two weeks ago...)

yummy birthday cookie

That's right, it's my birthday and I am 17 years old! Being seventeen is literally blowing my mind. There are so many things that have to do with being 17. There is a movie (17 again), a magazine (Seventeen), and for those who live in the wizarding world - 17 is when you are "of age" and can do magic anywhere. That being said, 17 is huge. Now I understand most people don't believe in the power of a good birthday wish, but honestly what's the harm in trying? I made what I think is a very good birthday wish and fingers crossed it comes true. If you guys have any monumental birthdays coming up make sure you celebrate the right way (lots of desserts, candy, friends and family)! Talk to you guys next tine!

it's the start of something new.

"I never believed in what I couldn't see. I never opened my heart to all the possibilities."
Now these may be the lyrics to a song in one of those super realistic high school musicals all about true love, but it can also be great advice. Believe in what you can't see and keep your heart open. Sounds like a legit New Year's resolution to me.
Twenty-fourteen is upon us and we need to embrace it, not fear it. It can be hard to drop everything and start a-new, but sometimes that's what we need to do. For example, one of my resolutions is to work hard on my blog and give it a new look. Unfortunately, I can't concentrate on it while all my previous posts now felt dull and uninspired. The solution? Create a new blog.
Although you have to keep in mind that some things are worth saving. Friendships, wisdom, family ties, etc. The list goes on and on. But if you get the opportunity to change something that doesn't feel right to you, take it. I promise you you won't regret it. Let's have a great 2014.

-Now on to where I'm writing this. Style and the Seine. This is my new blog where I will keep you up to date on new trends and my life. I felt as though my old blog was holding me back when what I needed was a push forward. If you have followed me here from Lights. Camera. Fashion. thank you for sticking with me. If you are new, then thank you for giving me a chance. I will try not to disappoint, just keep in mind, the main reason I am writing this is for me. Of course I want you to like it! I just need to be me and if people are reading or watching me be, well, I'll say it again. I will try not to disappoint.
